Let Us Pray

LET US PRAY
Pray your prayers, my children,
They are given one by one.
Whether song or poem or silence,
Find their rhythm, hear their hum.
It might only be a smile,
Or a thank you from the heart,
Pray the prayers that you are given,
Letting love be where you start.
You may paint or dance or tinker,
Working hard to make your way.
Whatever you’ve been given,
Pray the prayers you’re meant to pray.
You don’t need the words of others,
Right there hidden in your heart
Is the prayer that you’ve been given,
So let love be where you start.
Pray the prayers that you’ve been given,
Shout them loud under the sun.
Twirl around and bow to beauty,
Sing to Spirit, to the One
Who has whispered in the silence,
Hiding gems along your way,
Pray the prayers that you’ve been given,
Lift your lives up,
Let us pray.
