Another Stab at Writing With a Migraine

A DANCE THROUGH TIME

I thought my life would be a dance through time.
Wrapped in song, I’d give this life a twirl,
Celebrating rhythm, loving rhyme.

Like magic, love’s adventures would unfurl,
And I would dance, the star of my own show.
Wrapped in song, I’d give this life a twirl.

Applause would follow everywhere I’d go,
While fans adoring shower me with love;
And I would dance, the star of my own show.

My life a gift, a blessing from above,
To brighten lonely lives so unlike mine,
While fans adoring shower me with love.

But I don’t dance, and my light doesn’t shine.
The show goes on without me. I don’t try
To brighten lonely lives not unlike mine.

My music slowly fades from song to sigh.
The show goes on without me. I don’t try.
I thought my life would be a dance through time,
Celebrating rhythm, loving rhyme.
